Guidelines for Applicants

 

Applying for a Partners in Performance Excellence award is an important step in your commitment to excellence and improvement. The combination of self-reflection that occurs during the application writing process, and the valuable feedback you will receive from our seasoned examiners will provide critical insight into your key internal & external factors shaping your environment.

It is VERY helpful if you have at least one person in your organization who has training on how to be an examiner.  Examiners are trained on how to evaluate applications against the Baldrige Criteria.  In your organization, they can make sure your application responds to criteria questions in a way that the examiner team can easily parse. Partners PEX also delivers workshops on application writing.  If there are no public application writing workshops on the schedule, contact us to schedule in-house training.

Key Dates

Deadline for Intent to Apply - letting us know you are submitting an application, including the Level (1-3):

• ​Spring Cohort:  April 1st

• Fall Cohort:  Sept 1st

 

Deadline to submit an application for review:

• Spring Cohort:  May 1st

• Fall Cohort:  Oct 1st

Examiner Training: 

• Spring Cohort:  Feb 24th - April 30th

• Fall Cohort (if needed):  Sept 15th - Oct 31st

Organizations who are Partners PEX members at the Full Application level can apply at any time.  We have deadlines, but we also can be flexible to meet your deadline needs.  Contact Laura@partnerspex.org to discuss.  See the Guidelines for Applicants for details.

How to Apply

​

1. File your Intent to Apply form.  That gives us official notice, some basic information about you, and helps us to plan the examination cycle.

2. We will send an invoice to collect fees.

3. Submit Application that matches the Level you want to be examined at (Level 1-3).
